Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Beatrice, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
**As of March 20th 2026, the project was awarded to Gus Construction Co Inc., with an awarded amount of $692,461.25** Sealed bids are requested for the construction of two concrete box culverts, roadway grading, concrete pavement, and other incidental work. The work sites are C-34(1268) on S. 82 Road between E. State Highway 41 and E. Birch Road, and C-34(1271) on W. Chestnut Road between SW 88 Road and SW 100 Road in Gage County, Nebraska. The project includes all labor, materials, transportation, and equipment needed for a triple 12' x 12' x 65' Concrete Box Culvert on a 25-degree skew at C-34(1268) and a triple 12' x 12' x 57' Concrete Box Culvert on a 0-degree skew at C-34(1271), plus related incidental work. Bidders must submit an unconditional Bid Bond or Certified Check for 5% of the Bid Proposal and an estimated delivery time for materials. The successful contractor is allowed 50 calendar days for completion of each site after commencing work at that site. The project completion date is October 15, 2026. No site may be started without a committed crew to finish that site. Within 10 days of contract award, the successful bidder must provide a surety bond equal to or greater than the contract amount, subject to acceptance.
