Renovation of a detention facility in McMinnville, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
Bid #1 - Fifteen windows replaced with new anodized aluminum storefront windows There are six on the lower level and nine on the upper level. - Two entry/exit doors replaced with new insulated, hollow, metal doors One is a single, standard entry door. The other is a double door. Both doors will need to be equipped with standard keyed locks. Bid #2 - Four garage doors replaced All existing doors, hardware, and mechanics need to be removed and replaced with modern, prefinished, insulated doors and mechanics. Sealed proposals for two separate projects at the Warren County Jail are being accepted: Bid #1 is for Window Replacement and Bid #2 is for Garage Door Replacement. Bidders must enclose two copies of the bid and clearly note the bid submitted on both the shipping envelope and the sealed bid envelope inside. Bids must be submitted in person or by mail; email or fax submissions will not be accepted. For specifications or to view the facility, bidders are responsible for contacting the relevant county departments directly. Bids will be awarded according to the legal requirement for the 'lowest and best' bid, which is determined solely by those requesting the bid. The right is reserved to accept or reject any or all bids, accept or reject any item, waive any informalities, and/or abandon or postpone the project without obligation to bidders. In the case of tie bids, negotiation rights are reserved. No bidder may withdraw their bid for sixty days after the bid opening. Bidders must submit an affidavit that they operate a drug and alcohol testing program at least as stringent as that operated by Warren County, Tennessee. Requirements for alcohol and controlled substances testing as per federal regulations must be met for safety-sensitive positions.
