It also serves as a meeting place for various departments and events. Given the outdated technology and changing needs, the Cégep wants to make it a place where board meetings will always be held, but also integrate other needs. When board meetings are held, the entire space will be used. However, it can be divided into two separate classrooms by a removable acoustic partition to accommodate two groups. Since this room is large and there is insufficient demand for classrooms, its versatility will be emphasized. Currently, a two-step staircase and a ramp provide access to the room. A new floor will raise the room to eliminate this constraint. It will therefore be possible to run all the necessary wiring under the floor to power the tables. In addition, drop-downs will be integrated on each side to allow for the passage of wiring for technological elements (microphones, cameras, speakers, lighting, etc.).
