The work consists of constructing and providing lift station improvements, which include but are not limited to a new concrete wetwell, valve vault, manhole, approximately 50 linear feet of gravity sewer, site piping, valves and fittings, site electrical work, site grading, installation of pumps and controls, and other related work. Pumps have been prepurchased by the City, and the contractor is required to assist with coordination and installation. All proposals must be submitted on provided forms, with all unit price bids, extensions, and totals completed in full. Each bid must be accompanied by a bidder's bond for 5 percent of the base bid, payable to the City. Wage rates for this construction project must comply with the prevailing wage rates set by the Missouri Department of Labor and Industrial Relations. Contractors and their subcontractors must comply with employment practice regulations prohibiting discrimination. The City reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. Bids may not be withdrawn for 60 days following their opening.
