Sealed bids are invited for the installation of new flooring in the Community Room of the Forsyth Public Library located at 268 S. Elwood, Forsyth, IL 62535. Contractors are required to pay Prevailing Wages per the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers or waive any informality in the bidding. SCOPE OF WORK - BASE BID Demo existing broadloom carpet, carpet adhesive, and vinyl cove base in Community Room and Coat Room Demo ceramic flooring, base, and setting materials by the back door Skim coat entire area Install throughout LVT Karndean-Art Select Wood-Hickory Peppercorn EW02 (approximately 2,151sq ft) Install 4.5" Cove Base Johnsonite-Traditional Base-4.5"-44 Dark Brown (approximately 234 linear feet) Install appropriate transitions between unalike floors SCOPE OF WORK - ALTERNATE 1: Demo ceramic flooring, base, and setting materials in kitchen and storage area Demo ceramic base around cabinets with owner making cabinet upgrades Skim coat area Install throughout LVT Karndean-Art Select Wood-Hickory Peppercorn EW02 (approximately 326 sq ft) Install 4.5" Cove Base Johnsonite-Traditional Base-4.5"-44 Dark Brown (approximately 85 linear feet)
