Work includes demolition, backfill, grading and seeding of the commercial building at 921 Louise Street in South Bend, as described in the plans and specifications. Bids must be submitted electronically with the title of the bid and project number in the subject line, and include the company/vendor name, address, contact email, and phone number in the body of the email. Electronic bids must be on the specified Bid for Public Work Form, accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check equal to at least five percent (5%) of the base bid and any alternates. The awarded bidder will be required to send the original check or bid bond via mail. Bidders must comply with "City of South Bend EEO Contracting Provision Diversity Utilization" for each construction trade used on this contract and other construction work in the St. Joseph County area. Women and Minority-Owned Business Enterprises are encouraged to bid. Bidders must comply with all submission requirements in the Responsible Bidder Ordinance. The City may request supplemental information or conduct inquiries of bidders' current and previous customers.
