Sealed proposals are requested for providing labor, material, and equipment for the construction of the Southeast Regional Library Roof Replacement at 908 7th Avenue, Garner, NC. Bidders must comply with the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program requirements. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid can be withdrawn for ninety days after closing time. Complete contract documents are available upon request at no cost. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project location. This work includes the provision of labor, material, equipment, supervision and administration to integrate the work outlined in these specifications into the total building system such that no leakage into the system occurs. In general, the scope of work in the Base Bid includes: 1. Low Slope Roof Replacement - Roof Sector A: Remove and dispose of the roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the steel deck. Secure the existing steel deck to structural framing members. Provide 2-3/4" Roof Insulation loose laid. Provide 2-3/4" Roof Insulation mechanically attached. Provide Tapered Insulation System mechanically attached. Provide Cover Board adhered in foam adhesive. Provide fully-adhered felt-back thermoplastic single ply membrane along with flashings and accessories. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. Provide a complete, watertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly.
