Site work for a sidewalk / parking lot in Towamencin Township, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a 830-square-foot sidewalk / parking lot.
The project includes the replacement of four handicap ramps consisting of 130 LF of standard concrete curb replacements, 830 SF of concrete sidewalk replacements, 50 LF of concrete cheek wall, and 32 SF of detectable warning surface. It also includes the replacement of 205 LF of property-owner standard concrete curb, 115 LF of property-owner concrete curb driveway depression, 42 LF of Township-owned concrete curb driveway depression, and the disconnection of one property-owner sump pump connection. All work and materials are to be in accordance with PennDOT Standards and Specifications. The project is subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act and the Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bidders must complete and submit a "Public Works Employment Verification Form" with their bid. Successful bidders are required to furnish bonds equal to 100% of the contract amount to secure the faithful performance and maintenance of the contract and the prompt payment of materials and labor. All provisions of the Occupational Safety and Health Act must be adhered to. Bids must include an electronic copy of a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The contract, if awarded, will go to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Township reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The Township also reserves the right to delete any item or portion of an item from the contract after bids are received.
