Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Washington Township, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; golf course; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of various drainage improvements to ponds and streams throughout the Pitman Golf Course, located at 501 Pitman Road, Sewell, New Jersey. The Base Bid of this project includes the removal of an existing corrugated metal stormwater pipe, concrete headwalls and an existing concrete culvert. It also includes the installation of a 48-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, two 15-inch high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe with concrete headwall, riprap slope and channel protection, as well as cart path and turf restoration. Alternate Bid #1 consists of tree removal along the perimeter of the pond near Hole 9 and Hole 11. Tree removal will consist of cutting stumps flush to the ground. Tree roots and existing slopes shall not be disturbed. Alternate Bid #2 consists of the installation of riprap slope protection at the pond near Hole 17, and streambed rehabilitation near Hole 11. The streambed rehabilitation includes regrading, installation of riprap channel protection, gabion walls, and turf restoration. Quantities shown are approximate and shall be directed by the County for each location on the Estimate Distribution of Quantities sheet. The County reserves the right to direct additional quantities at any of the locations within the project. Items such as clearing site are lump sum/dollar and are applied to the entire project as a whole and are not distributed to any particular location. All restoration, soil erosion measures and protection of existing conditions shall be included in the contract and paid for under the item clearing site, unless a specific pay item and location is indicated on the plans. THE BIDS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY 1. A PROPOSAL BOND APPROVED BY THE COUNTY SOLICITOR IN AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO 10% OF TOTAL BID, BUT NOT IN EXCESS OF $20,000.00. 2. A certificate (Consent of Surety) as per N.J.S.A. 40A:11-22 from a Surety Company stating that it will provide the bidder if successful, with a performance bond and payment bond in the sum of not less than the total contract. 3. A completed Non-Collusion Affidavit. 4. A Completed Public Disclosure Information Sheet indicating stockholders in the Corporation or Partnership who owns 10% or more of its stock as provided in Chapter 33 of the Public laws of 1977. 5. Wage and Hour Compliance Acknowledgment. 6. Plan and Equipment Questionnaire. 7. Business Registration Certificate, including all sub-contractors. 8. Each Bid must be signed in ink by an authorized representative of the company, and be delivered at the place and on the hour named above. If mailed, the sealed bid envelop must be within an outer mailing envelope, and be received at the Office of the County Purchasing Agent prior to the hour named above. The Purchasing Agent or The Board of County Commissioners, reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive any irregularities and to award the contract to the bidder whose proposal is best suited to the County's requirements. Any bid obviously unbalanced may be rejected. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27, laws against discrimination because of race, religion, sex, color, etc. All bidders are hereby notified that compliance with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (N.J.S.A.34:11-56.25, et. seq.) and/or County of Gloucester rules and regulations that are applicable to this project will be required of any contract awarded.
