Renovation of an educational facility in Abbotsford, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
1. Provide new, complete, operational and tested mechanical hydronic heating system and ventilation system as described herein, indicated on the drawings and in full conformance with applicable codes, standards and ordinances. 2. Provide all labour, materials and products as specified, and as required to accomplish this work. 3. Existing DDC panels will be upgraded to suit the heating and ventilation upgrade. 4. Mechanical Contractor shall coordinate and cooperate with the DDC control Contractor for the locations of the required pressure, and temperature sensors as well as the operation and commissioning of the upgraded hydronic system. 5. The mechanical contractor shall act as the Prime Contractor for this project, responsible for the coordination of all trades required to carry out the work as described herein. 6. The scope of the upgrade work for this project generally includes the following: 1. Demolition and replacement of existing heating and ventilation equipment for Phase 2 (Level 2 of the Building and Gym Air Handling Unit). 2. Unit Ventilators, ductwork, grilles, seismic support and restraints. 3. Air cooled heat pump units that serve the Unit Ventilators. 4. Refrigerant piping and condensate drainage for heat pumps. 5. Replacement of all the heating water piping and pipe insulation. 6. Connection of UV to the heating water provision from Phase 1. 7. New roof mounted Gymnasium Air Handling Unit, ductwork and grilles 8. New wall mounted cooling cassette and associated heat pump units . 9. New force flow heaters 10. Fire Stopping 11. Direct digital controls. 12. Water and air balancing systems. 13. Commissioning of the systems operation and controls. 14. Re & Re of existing bulkheads 15. Electrical work associated with upgrade, refer to Electrical 7. Demolition and builder's work will include the following: .1 Other demolition, painting, remediation, etc., as described in the specifications and on the drawings, to accommodate the Work. .2 Non-structural seismic protections .3 Demolition of existing millwork, shelving and supply & installation of new millwork sections as required to infill removed. 8. Electrical works will require the following: .1 Electrical power supplies to mechanical equipment. .2 Removal and replacement of miscellaneous electrical devices, including some equipment.
