Site work for a water / sewer project in Springfield, Vermont. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Town of Springfield is requesting bids for the construction of Water Works System Improvements, Contract I2. The project involves the installation of approximately 3,500 linear feet of new 8", 10", and 12" waterline and appurtenances, including new hydrants, valves, water services, and curb stops on Clinton Street, Loveland Avenue, Main Street, South Street, and Olive Street. Additional work includes traffic control, EPSC measures, trench pavement repair, site repair/restoration/cleanup, and miscellaneous work. Bids will be received via email until 3:00 pm local time on March 19, 2026. Bids must be on a lump sum and unit price basis as indicated in the Bid form and submitted to specified email addresses. Bidders are highly encouraged to submit bids earlier than the deadline and must confirm receipt. Late bids will not be included in the bid tabulation. A bid tabulation will be released within 5 business days. Obtaining bidding documents requires purchase from Blueprints, Etc, either printed or electronic format, with associated non-refundable charges. Bidding documents can be examined at the Springfield Town Office or online. A pre-bid conference will be held at the Springfield Town Offices, attendance is encouraged but not required. The project is funded in part through the Vermont Drinking Water State Revolving Fund. Applicable requirements include bid security, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) requirements, performance and payment bonds, American Iron and Steel provisions, federal wage rates, and prohibition on certain telecommunications and video surveillance equipment.
