McMullen County is seeking to enter into a professional services contract with a hydrogeologist for the Calliham Water Well Project. The hydrogeologist will assist McMullen County and the Nueces River Authority during the construction and installation of a water well in Calliham, Texas, to improve reliability and water quality. The hydrogeologist’s services will include oversight of well drilling and installation, observation, data capture, verification of compliance with TCEQ requirements, and recommendations regarding water quality and flow production parameters. Specific tasks include pre-construction meetings with the owner and contractor, creation and review of a health and safety plan, oversight of site preparation, contractor mobilization, conductor casing installation, pilot hole drilling and borehole logging, geophysical logging, reaming, casing and annular material installation, well development, aquifer testing, oversight of concrete pedestal installation, TCEQ reporting, and ensuring compliance with relevant local and state standards. Proposals must address these activities outlined in the scope of work. The County will determine contract award at its sole discretion and reserves the right to negotiate or reject any proposals.
