This proposal is for gravel crushing at Hagelgans Pit, located at 66531 Robinson Road, Burr Oak, in Section 27 of Burr Oak Township. The work involves producing and stockpiling surfacing aggregate 22A at this location. Materials must be stockpiled and placed as directed, with all measurements of quantities determined by certified belt scales. A primary crusher is recommended for processing, and sand may need to be pulled as incidental to the price of 22A. The contractor is responsible for striking off and compacting the stockpile in lifts no greater than 4 feet as it increases in height. Bidders must inspect the site to understand the excavation and stockpiling locations. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "SEALED BID, SURFACING AGGREGATES." A certified or cashier’s check for $5,000 must be submitted by the successful bidder and held until operations are completed. The specifications are governed by the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, as adopted by the Michigan State Highway Department, dated 2020.
