Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all labor and materials and performing all work required for resurfacing projects as follows: HW26024 County Road 32 (State Hwy 59 to BBE), HW26014 Old Brady Rd (Pine Grove Rd to Fox Ford Rd), HW26015 Durban Fork Rd (Pine Grove Rd to Dogwood Fork Rd), HW26016 Buckingham Blvd (State Hwy 31 to EOM), HW26017 McFarland Rd (Buckingham Blvd to Jessie Rd), HW26018 Arlington Blvd (Buckingham Blvd to EOM), HW26019 Live Oak Rd (State Hwy 59 to State Hwy 225), HW26020 Waterworld Rd (County Rd 64 Ext to EOM), HW26021 Wayburn Rd (Three Rivers Rd to EOM), HW26022 Three Rivers Rd (Wayburn Rd to Browns Landing Rd), HW26023 Browns Landing Rd (US Hwy 90 to Three Rivers Rd). A cashier's check from an Alabama bank or a bidder's bond, payable to Baldwin County, for at least 5% of the amount bid (not more than $10,000), must accompany the proposal. A performance bond equal to the contract price and a labor and materials bond equal to at least 50% of the contract price are required at contract signing, along with a certificate of insurance. The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities or irregularities. No bids will be considered unless the bidder is properly qualified and holds a current license from the State Licensing Board for General Contractors. Non-residents, if a corporation or other entity, must show evidence of having qualified with the Secretary of State to do business in Alabama. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after opening without County Commission consent. Forty-five working days are allowed for construction. Liquidated damages for non-completion will be assessed according to contract terms. This project is 100% county funded. On building construction and road or bridge projects, the Architect or Engineer may answer questions, issue clarifications and make minor additions and subtractions, which do not involve a major change in the scope of the work, up to 8 hours prior to bid opening.
