Electronic bids are being accepted for the 2026 Summit County 405 Resurfacing Program, with an engineer's estimate of $1,435,914.00 for the base bid. Bidders must be registered as a vendor to download the bid documents, which can be accessed at Bid Express. Registration may take up to 24 hours to become active. Hard copies will not be accepted and will be returned unopened. The County reserves the right to reject all bids. The proposed work consists of resurfacing various County, Bath Twp., Richfield Twp., Springfield Twp. and Twinsburg roads. The project will include: milling and spot leveling as directed by the Engineer, resurfacing a surface course of Item 405 Bituminous Cold Mix and Item 422 Chip Seal and Special - Fog Seal. The following list describes the scope of work for each road. Summit County Black Rd. from Boston Mills Rd. to Columbia Rd., Alternate No.1 Everett Rd. from Revere Rd. to Farmstead. Pavement planing as directed by engineer including butt joints at side streets, bridges, end of paving and at driveways as directed by the engineer. 1. Perform spot repairs and 441 leveling course as directed by the Engineer 2. Apply Item 405 resurfacing per specifications. 3. Place Item 617 along pavement edge. 4. Apply Item 422 Chip Seal per specifications 5. Apply Item Special Fog Seal 6.
