Provide monthly cooling tower and boiler water treatment services to prevent fouling on metal surfaces, inhibit corrosion, sanitize, clean, disinfect, and control biological growth. Services include once-monthly treatment, monthly water sampling and analysis, quarterly Legionella testing, and an annual cooling tower cleanout to minimize the risk of Legionella bacteria. Water samples shall be tested for Heterotrophic Plate Count and delivered to an ELITE-certified Legionella testing laboratory for analysis. Monthly testing and documentation shall also include makeup water quality for water chemistry, system water quality to confirm desired chemistry and dosing rates, and measurement of corrosive byproducts to verify the effectiveness of corrosion inhibitors. Due to high calcium concentrations in the makeup water, cooling tower cycles of concentration shall be limited to 2.2. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and tools necessary to perform the services for a base year with four option years. Location: Southern Arizona Veterans Affairs Healthcare System (SAVAHCS), 3601 South 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723. All questions must be submitted in writing and emailed to. Questions must be received no later than, 02:00pm PST Time 3 calendar days prior to the closing of the solicitation. The Government reserves the right to not answer questions not meeting this timeline. All responses to questions will be incorporated into a written amendment.
