CR#: 2131997 Sealed bids are requested for separate contracts covering Construction Work, HVAC Work, Plumbing Work, and Electrical Work to replace roofs on Buildings 2, 40, and 41 at Elmira Correctional Facility, 1879 Davis St, Elmira, NY. Each bid must be prepared and submitted according to the Instructions to Bidders and must include bid security in specified amounts for each contract. Successful bidders must provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount, with estimated values provided for each trade. The substantial completion date is 357 days after the Agreement is approved by the Comptroller. Bidders must comply with requirements regarding communications during the Restricted Period as outlined in State Finance Law, and are to familiarize themselves with all State Finance Law requirements. There are specified goals for participation of Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOB), with percentages set for each trade. Bidders are expected to consider MWBE and SDVOB participation through subcontracting, supplying, or partnering. Trades with 0% goals are still encouraged to make good faith efforts to promote and assist MWBE and SDVOB participation. Prospective bidders can only visit the job site at a designated date and time, must provide advance notice to participate in the pre-bid site visit, and must comply with identification and security requirements.
