The work involves providing Work Zone Traffic Control for Consultant and State Inspection Teams for the inspection of approximately 475 bridges located in Region 1 of New York State, covering Albany, Essex, Greene, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Warren, and Washington counties. The selected subcontractor must supply all labor, materials, machinery, tools, and equipment necessary for the traffic control required to assist CDM Smith NY, Inc. and NYSDOT personnel, or their authorized designees, with bridge inspections. Work must adhere to the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The subcontractor must have at least five years of documented experience in traffic control, and all flag persons must have a minimum of six months’ experience and current flagger certification. Work may require full and partial day and nighttime closures, as well as limited weekend work. Four or more crews may be needed simultaneously. The subcontractor is responsible for procuring all necessary permits. Proposals must be submitted in sealed envelopes labeled with the appropriate project and bidder information, as specified, and received by the stated deadline. Proposals received after the deadline will not be opened. A representative from each prospective bidder is encouraged, but not required, to attend the bid opening. CDM Smith NY, Inc. reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to disregard nonconforming or non-responsive bids. Insurance as specified in the bid documents is required.
