Renovation of a detention facility in Wallkill, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.
CR#: 2132013 Sealed bids for Project Nos. Q1916-C and Q1916-E, comprising separate contracts for Construction Work and Electrical Work, are requested for the Replacement of Perimeter Detection & Camera Systems at the Shawangunk Correctional Facility, 200 Quick Rd, Wallkill (Ulster County), NY. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and accompanied by a bid security in the specified amount. Successful bidders will be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond, each for 100% of the contract amount. All bidders must comply with State Finance Law requirements and affirm their understanding on the bid form. Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Businesses (SDVOBs) participation is encouraged, with specific goals established for each contract. Bidders are urged, but not required, to attend a pre-bid site visit. Additional requirements include compliance with New York State Executive Law Article 15-A, with established participation goals for MWBEs. The Office of General Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Site Visit Note: Prospective bidders are urged, but not mandated, to visit the site at this time. Prospective bidders or their representatives attending the pre-bid site visit will not be admitted on facility grounds without proper photo identification. Note that parking restrictions and security provisions will apply, and all vehicles will be subject to search. Refer to Document 002218 for any additional requirements for attendance at the pre-bid site visit. Only contractors that schedule a visit at least 72 hours in advance will be allowed to participate in the pre-bid site visit. Contract estimated to be between $8,000,000 and $9,000,000 for E. The Office of General Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
