Site work for an educational facility in Camarillo, California. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
Pleasant Valley School District will receive sealed bids for the Parking Lot Pavement and ADA Pathway Replacement Project at Las Colinas Middle School, as per drawings and specifications obtained electronically from the Owner. This project is not subject to prequalification. Contractors and subcontractors for projects over $25,000 must be registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5. Contract time is forty (40) calendar days, with liquidated damages for delay specified in the Agreement between Owner and Contractor. Bids must be sealed and submitted to the Pleasant Valley School District Administration Office. No faxed bids will be accepted. A mandatory pre-bid site visit is required for qualification. The lowest bid will be determined by the base bid amount. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for at least ten percent (10%) of the base bid. The successful bidder must furnish Payment and Performance Bonds each for one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Sum, and may substitute securities or establish an escrow in lieu of retainage according to Public Contract Code Section 22300. Only contractors licensed to do business in California with a Class A license are eligible. The Director of Industrial Relations has set prevailing wage rates, which must be paid for all labor as specified. Copies of required wage rates are available from the Owner’s office upon request. Questions regarding documents, discrepancies, omissions, or doubt as to meanings shall be referred immediately to the Owner who will send written instructions clarifying such questions to each bidder.
