Job No. 26-01, Slip Line Hanapepe 16-inch HDPE Pipeline, Kauai, Hawaii SCOPE OF WORK: The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of installation of the 12-inch Primus Liner system inside a 16-inch HDPE potable mainline that is a transmission line from the Hanapepe Water System to the Eleele Water System.. The connection point at the bottom Job No. 26-01 SLIP LINE HANAPEPE 16-INCH HDPE PIPELINE 2 will be where the 12-inch main exits the Eleele Booster Pump building. The 12-inch spool piece will be shortened to make room for a 12-inch mechanical flange adapter to connect the 12-inch slip line. The connection point at the top will be between the highway and the fence line for the Eleele Steel Tanks. A pit will be dug to access the 12-inch main where a mechanical flange adapter will be installed to connect the 12-inch slip line. The slip line shall be pulled through several bends along the total length of 1,000 feet of pipe run. The bottom section of 12-inch pipe to the Booster Pump building has three (3) 45 elbows, two (2) 22-1/2 elbows, and one (1) 90 elbow. The top section of pipe to the Tank site has one (1) 16-inch 90 elbow. There is no need for a bypass line for this project. The Department will be responsible for performing the excavation pit work for the top connection, providing all civil design work for the project, and performing the chlorination of the new liner. Contractor is only responsible for providing and installing the liner and fittings for connection. Installation access points are within Department of Water and State Highways easements. Total length of pull is 1,000 feet, as indicated in the contract drawings and specifications. CONTRACTORS LICENSE: All prospective Bidders must be currently licensed by the State of Hawai'i, Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Division of Professional and Vocational Licensing.
