Sealed Bids are invited for the construction of the Cortland WWTF Aeration System Replacement project. The work involves providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the following at the City of Cortland WWTF: removal and disposal of existing diffusers in 8 aeration tanks, installation of new aeration tank diffusers, and refurbishment of three blowers. Additional work includes installation of DO and ORP probes, new sludge blending lines, and replacement of valve actuators. Bid Alternates include adding a fourth blower to the existing train and replacing the existing three blowers with new ones. Bids shall be on a unit price and lump sum basis for Contract Nos. General: CC-2026-G and Electrical: CC-2026-E. Only bids from companies who have registered with and received Bid Documents from the Issuing Office will be accepted. All bids must be made on the official Bid Form or an exact copy by reproduction thereof and enclosed in a sealed envelope. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of five percent of the maximum bid price, as determined by adding the base bid and all alternatives. The successful bidder is required to furnish construction performance and payment bonds in the full amount of the contract price. Participation from Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) is required. The successful bidder must comply with all provisions of the Federal Government Equal Employment Opportunity clauses issued by the Secretary of Labor on May 21, 1968 and published in the Federal Register (41CFR Part 60-1, 33 F.2 7804). No bidder may withdraw their bid within forty-five calendar days after the actual date of the opening.
