Renovation of a municipal facility in Cortland, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 9,700-square-foot municipal facility; and 6,600-square-foot municipal facility.
The Cortland County Department of Public Works invites sealed proposals from qualified contractors for the removal and replacement of approximately 9,700 square feet of roofing at the Cortland County Office Building located at 60 Central Ave, Cortland, NY 13045. An alternate proposal is requested for the removal and replacement of an additional approximately 6,600 square feet of roofing. All questions shall be directed to the Cortland County Department of Public Works in writing to Charles Sudbrink (csudbrink@cortlandcountyny.gov) or Alan Ricottilli (aricottilli@cortlandcountyny.gov). This Scope of Work shall be read in conjunction with the Technical Specifications - EPDM Roofing System (Section 13 of this RFP). In the event of a conflict, the more stringent requirement shall govern. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and incidentals necessary to provide a complete, code-compliant EPDM roofing system, including but not limited to: _ Removal and lawful disposal of existing roof membrane(s), insulation, and associated materials _ Inspection and preparation of roof deck and substrate _ Removal and replacement of existing insulation, including wet or damaged insulation _ Installation of new insulation and tapered insulation systems _ Installation of a complete EPDM roofing membrane system _ Replacement of all flashings, edge metal, and accessories _ Integration of all existing roof penetrations into the new system _ Protection of the occupied building and its systems during construction _ Final inspection, testing, and closeout documentation The contractor is responsible for protecting non-scope roof areas from damage during construction.
