Disclaimer to all projects: Bidders must purchase their own bid documents if bidding. Sealed bids will be received for ADA Upgrades at Various Schools for the North Brunswick Township Board of Education. The contract is for an Overall Single Prime, covering all of the work, all primes, and is all inclusive. Bidders must be prequalified in Category C009, General Construction/Alterations & Additions. Bidders must be classified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction (DPMC) at the time of the bid opening in one of the required disciplines. Bids must be submitted on provided proposal forms and be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a bid bond for not less than ten percent of the bid, but not exceeding twenty thousand dollars. A Certificate of Consent of Surety must also be included, obligating the surety to provide a New Jersey Statutory Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full contract amount if successful. All bidding must conform to the Public School Building Contracts law and no bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after opening. Bidders must observe employment requirements and pay prevailing wage rates as specified. Compliance with Affirmative Action against Discrimination laws is mandatory, and an initial Project Workforce Report will be required from the successful bidder. The North Brunswick Township School District reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informalities if it is in the Board's interest to do so.
