Renovation of an educational facility in Fresno, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of April 02, 2026, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will be rebid but no definite date yet.** The work covered by this project specification includes the assistance of an abatement contractor for removal or disturbance of Small Scale ACM. The project will be less than 160 square feet of ACM per Area. The work expected to perform will include drilling holes for brackets in walls, floors, or ceilings. The removal of cabinets attached to walls with ACM where the intention is for the wall to remain. Any area where holes or minor disturbance of asbestos may occur for this project is not considered abatement. This scope pertains to the handling and control of all asbestos containing materials and describes some of the procedures and equipment required to protect workers, the environment, and occupants from contact with asbestos fibers. The work also includes the disposal of any asbestos containing materials generated by the work. Quantities listed below are estimates, for sampling purposes only, and should be verified prior to asbestos abatement. The abatement contractor is responsible for his own measurements and material quantification to determine quantities for bid purposes.
