Remodeling of a library in Ames, Iowa. Completed plans call for the remodel of a library.

This project involves improvements to the second and third floors of Parks Library at Iowa State University. The scope of work includes removing the existing carpet and base and installing new carpet and base on the west side of the third floor, specifically in the area where the bookstacks and study carrels are located. It also includes running and installing power poles and thread power hubs. All bids must be submitted electronically at www.bidexpress.com using the provided bidding documents. Bidders are required to include bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Contract Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the contract sum within ten days after receiving the Notice of Award. Bidding Documents must be returned to Iowa State Printing Services within fifteen days after the opening of bids. No bid may be withdrawn for 45 calendar days after the bid opening. The project has a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses as specified in the Project Requirements. Preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities, and to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner.
