Site work and paving for a road / highway in Emsdale, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

1. TYPE IIl MODIFIED MICRO-SURFACE TREATMENT - SKYLINE DRIVE 2. DOUBLE LIFT OF HIGH FLOAT SURFACE TREATMENT - FERGUSON ROAD Awarding of tenders will be made by Council at the regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday April 14, 2026 Documents are available at https://www.armourtownship.ca/rfp-tender-notices General 1. The Contractor shall supply and install High Float Surface Treatment and Micro-Surface on the roads as specified. 2. All Class 2 Aggregate must be made from a quarried bedrock product. 3. The Contractor shall include all preparation required for High Float Surface Treatment and Micro-Surface installation. Contractor's Schedule of Work Prior to the commencement of work, the Contractor shall provide a completed 'Schedule of Work'. No work shall be carried out on Fridays after 4:00 PM or on Saturdays and Sundays. Roads to be High Float Treated Ferguson Road: from 343 Ferguson Road to 834 Ferguson Road. Total length approximately 2.5 kms to include intersection of Madill Road. Width of road to be 6.5m to 6.7m with the curves to be widened. Curve Widening: The application of Double High Float Surface Treatment will be widened on the inside of all curves. The curve widening will be 0.5m or to the edge of shoulder, whichever is the lesser. Binder Application Rate As per OPSS MUNI 304 Class 2: The first application of HF-150S binder shall be applied at a rate of 1.65 kglm2 and shall provide uniform coverage of the prepared road surface, but shall not be excessive. A second application of HF-t 50S binder shall be applied at a rate of 1.5 kglm2 and shall provide uniform cover of the first application of aggregate. Aggregate Application Rate As per OPSS MUNI 304 Class 2: The first application of Class ll Granitic Aggregate shall be applied at a rate of 18 kg/m2 and shall provide uniform coverage of the applied binder, but shall not be excessive. A second application of Class ll Granitic Aggregate shall be applied at a rate of 19 kg/m2 and shall provide uniform coverage of the applied binder, but shall not be excessive. Rolling As per Surface Treatment OPSS MUNI 304 Subsection 304.07.08. Dust Suppression The Contractor shall not use calcium chloride for dust suppression. Payment included in the contract unit prices. Roads to be MICRO-SURFACE Treated Skyline Drive: from the intersection of Chetwynd Road to the end of the surface treatment approximately 2,700m long by approximately 6.7m wide. Weather Conditions Surface treatment will not proceed when rain is forecasted or imminent. Binder application temperatures shall be according to OPSS 1103. Payment The Contractor shall be paid by the square metre of Double High Float Surface Treatment and Micro Surfacing.
