Consultants experienced in progressive design-build are invited to submit proposals for owner’s representative services for the Coney Island Boardwalk reconstruction project. Services will include support for pre-procurement, the progressive design-build RFQ and shortlisting, the progressive design-build RFP and selection, contract execution, design coordination, and construction monitoring. The project includes full reconstruction of the Boardwalk in Brooklyn, addressing piles, pile caps, decking, and incorporating climate and storm resiliency through raising and protective barriers. Additional elements include site furnishings, lighting, fencing/railings, public access stairs/ramps, street end plazas, utilities (drainage, water service, electrical), renovation or replacement of restroom buildings, lifeguard stations, and shade pavilions, improvements to an open space, and demolition and reconstruction of a new garage with a public restroom. Selection is based on proposal quality and approach, relevant experience, team management and references, compliance with M/WBE participation goals, and fee and cost schedules. Bidders must submit an M/WBE Participation Proposal and are encouraged to learn about financing resources and compliance requirements.
