The work will be performed under one prime contract that includes General, Demolition, Concrete Maintenance, and Metal Fabrication construction. The scope includes providing unit pricing for the repair of the existing exterior concrete walls at all ramp levels, preparing all exterior surfaces for the installation of new exterior coating (contractors must be approved or authorized installers for the Sika Thoroseal 581 products, with no substitutes or unauthorized installers allowed), field verifying all existing wall opening and guard opening sizes, providing shop drawings for metal infill panels as described in the construction drawings, and removing and replacing existing metal infill panels at all ramp openings and guards at ramp level changes. Potential bidders are instructed that this solicitation includes required insurance as recommended for the project's specifications and scope of work, and are strongly encouraged to review Section 00 73 16 Insurance Requirements as well as AIA A201, Article 11 prior to submitting a response. The project carries a 5% Targeted Group, Economically Disadvantaged, Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (TG/ED/VO) subcontracting goal. Responding companies must have completed as prime contractor, not as subcontractor, at least three contracts since 2018 for similar work with a construction value of $300,000 or greater, or they may provide up to three qualifying projects completed by the Project Manager while employed by others. Both the Project Manager and Job Superintendent must each have at least five years of experience with similar projects and manufacturer-specified products, with contracts valued at $300,000 or more.
