Murrieta Valley Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as "District", will receive, sealed bids for the award of a Contract for the following: BID NO. 2025-26-09 EXTERIOR PAINT PROJECT All bids must be signed by the bidder in permanent ink and submitted in sealed envelopes, bearing on the outside, the bidder's name, address, telephone number, and California Contractor's License number, the name of the Project, the Bid Number for which the bid is submitted, and clearly state attention Purchasing Department. If the bid is being delivered by a carrier service, the envelope that carries the required sealed package must state at minimum the vendor's name, reference the Bid Number, and be directed to the Purchasing Department. The District reserves the right to reject any bid if all of the above information is not furnished. It is each bidder's sole responsibility to ensure its bid is timely delivered and received at the location designated as specified. Any bid received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Time for Completion: It is hereby understood and agreed that the Work under this Contract shall commence on June 8, 2026 and be Substantially Completed by July 24, 2026. This Project is being let in accordance with the formal bid requirements of the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act ("CUPCCAA") set forth in Public Contract Code section 22000 et seq. (specifically, the formal bidding procedures in Section 22032(c)). Bidders shall comply with any requirements set forth in the CUPCCAA including all guidelines and requirements in the current California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Commission Cost Accounting Policies and Procedures Manual. Each bidder shall be a licensed contractor pursuant to the California Business and Professions Code, and be licensed to perform the work called for in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B or C33 License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of this Contract. The Contractor's California State License number shall be clearly stated on the bidder's proposal. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bids or in the bidding. Question Deadline 03/12/2026 at 5:00 PM PT Pre-bid clarification request shall be filed. Each request for clarification shall be submitted in writing, via email, to only the following persons: TO: Jose Contreras, Director of Facilities JOContreras@murrieta.k12.ca.us AND Purchasing Department Purchasing@murrieta.k12.ca.us. All Addenda will be posted online. The purpose of this project is to provide a safe learning and working environment for the Murrieta Valley Unified School District staff and students. As part of our Measure BB end of life cycle replacement plan, we need to paint several buildings at Murrieta Valley High School. This is a Public Works project; Prevailing Wages and Payment & Performance Bonds will be required. Furthermore, the lowest, responsive, and responsible bidder will be required to be registered with the DIR and a project registration number will be provided. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for a complete repainting job in accordance with the project specifications It is the intention of these specifications to have all existing painted surfaces repainted. o It shall be the responsibility of the contractor to provide approved storage for materials and equipment at a location approved by the owner. o All staging, scaffolds, ladders, etc. shall always be maintained in a manner to meet OSHA Safety Requirements and not be a hazard to Murrieta Valley Unified School District Staff. Adequate exits from all buildings shall be maintained in all areas to meet the Fire Code. o All non-painted areas such as scrubs, floors, glass, etc. shall be protected. Upon completion of the project, the contractor shall remove all splattering and removal all paint-related trash from the premises. The contractor shall be held responsible for any related damages. o Exterior surfaces shall be pressured washed @3000 PSI to insure removal of chalk, mold, mildew, or any other foreign material. All surfaces after having been properly cleaned and de-scaled shall have all joints resealed by proper method as defined in the project specifications.
