This project, located in Allegany County, is for the reconstruction of twelve sidewalk ramps along US 40 Alt. from Cupler Drive to N. Woodlawn Avenue in LaVale, MD. to meet ADA requirements. The work will consist of the following: (a) Constructing new sidewalk and ADA ramps. (b) Constructing new curb and gutter. (c) Constructing curb walls. (d) Installing detectable warning surfaces. (e) Removing and resetting metal railings. (f) Erosion & Sediment Control. (g) Maintenance of traffic. (h) Other miscellaneous repairs as noted on the plans. Pre-Bid Conference: A Pre-Bid Conference has not been scheduled for this Project Classification: B - $100,001 to $500,000 In accordance with State Finance and Procurement Title 13 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, no bid, performance or payment bonds are required for bids less than $100,000.00. However, bids $100,000.00 and above will not be considered unless a Bid Security is submitted as outlined in the Invitation for Bids. Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid.
