Renovation of a water / sewer project in Braxton, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

**As of April 08, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** Sealed bids are requested for supplying all labor and materials necessary for the construction of the Piney Woods Lake Dam Renovations. The work generally consists of earthwork, riprap, concrete, and related items. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and providing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as required by the specifications and drawings. Contract time is 180 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of the actual costs incurred for each consecutive calendar day beyond the specified contract time. In the event of default, the contractor shall pay the owner the actual costs, expenses, and other losses reasonably incurred by the owner. Bidder qualifications include being qualified under Mississippi Law with a current Certificate of Responsibility, which must be written on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. Proposals must be submitted sealed and deposited prior to the designated hour and date. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 90 days after the actual date of the opening. Public contracts awarded to non-resident bidders will follow the same basis as the non-resident bidder's state awards to Mississippi contractors. Non-resident bidders must attach to their bid a copy of their resident state's current laws regarding treatment of non-resident contractors. Each bidder must deposit a bid bond or certified check equal to five percent of their bid as bid security. The successful bidder must furnish a payment bond and performance bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. Contract specifications and drawings are available free of charge from Allen & Hoshall; all contractors must register for an account on the website. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited and encouraged to make inquiries regarding subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material, and/or supply needs.
