The Brockton Housing Authority is soliciting sealed bids from qualified persons, firms, or corporations to provide fire alarm systems maintenance and repairs. The Authority is interested in awarding a three-year contract with two one-year options to renew. The estimated value of the contract is $250,000 per year for an estimated total of $750,000. All bidders must be DCAMM certified for projects valued over $150,000, with Prime Certification in the category of ALARM SYSTEMS. Each bid must include a bid deposit in the amount of five percent of the total amount of the bid, either as a certified, treasurer's, or cashier's check, or a bid bond in a satisfactory form. Bids must be filed at the office of the Procurement Specialist in a sealed envelope, using the pricing sheets provided in the bid document. Envelopes should be clearly marked with the IFB number and project title. The contract must comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including Massachusetts prevailing wage laws and the Davis-Bacon Act. Inspection and testing services are not subject to prevailing wage regulations, but repair services and equipment installation are. The Brockton Housing Authority reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids if deemed in its best interest. Conditional bids will not be accepted, and bids may not be withdrawn for forty-five days after opening.
