Sealed proposals will be received for the South Ellsworth Avenue Water Main Replacement. The project consists primarily of installing 1216 linear feet of 12" ANSI/AWWA C150/A21.5, Class 52 ductile iron waterline. Completion of the project is required within 120 calendar days after the "Notice to Proceed." All proposals must be sealed and endorsed for the South Ellsworth Avenue Water Main Replacement and addressed to the Utility Superintendent. Bidders may need to provide references and detailed information to establish responsibility, experience, skill, and financial standing. Bids from contractors without experience in this type of work will not be awarded a contract. Bidders must comply with prevailing wage rates determined for public improvements in Columbiana County and the City of Salem, Ohio. Each bidder is required to furnish a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond as specified by the Ohio Revised Code. Each proposal must include the full name of the submitting party and all interested persons, as well as evidence of experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to increase or omit any items, to waive informalities or irregularities, and to award to the lowest and/or best bidder. Materials purchased for this project are exempt from State Sales Tax, and the successful bidder will receive a blanket Tax-Exempt Certificate for this purpose.
