The project is awarded to LaForza Construction, LLC in the amount of $138,800.95 The work includes the milling and resurfacing, curb, driveway replacement, and other incidental work on Karen Drive and Lynn Terrace. Principal items include: 8,600 S.Y. HMA Milling (3” or less), 990 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 Surface Course, and 90 L.F. 9" x 18" Concrete Vertical Curb. Bidders must submit their proposals on prescribed forms, include a non-collusion affidavit and ownership statement compliance form, and provide a Consent of Surety along with a certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond of at least ten percent of the bid amount (not exceeding $20,000.00). The successful bidder must furnish a performance and payment bond for 100 percent of the accepted bid amount, and supply the required insurance policies or certificates. Bidders must comply with all relevant New Jersey laws and regulations concerning equal employment opportunity, disclosure of partners and stockholders, prevailing wage rates, and proactive outreach to MBW-WBE-DBEs. Contracts are also subject to Section 3 of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1968, giving employment opportunities to low-income residents and awarding contracts to local businesses where possible. All bids are irrevocable for sixty days. The Owner reserves the right to reject bids, waive informalities, and select the lowest responsible bidder. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract.
