Reference Number 0000414402 The City of Livonia is seeking proposals for the following: Contractor shall repair three (3) 40' foot nominal wide, 8 ft. wide bridge at Idyl Wyld Golf Course, Five Mile Road, Livonia, Michigan. The bridges were manufactured by Custom Manufacturing, Inc. of Clinton Wisconsin. All existing wood will be removed from each bridge and replaced with new pressure treated wood decks and hand railings on existing steel girder. Each proposal shall be accompanied by a bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal, as security for the acceptance of the contract. Bid Bonds must be on the Michigan standard form issued by an approved Surety Company. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within one hundred twenty (120) calendar days after the date set for opening thereof. The right to accept any bid, to reject any or all proposals and to waive irregularities in bidding is reserved by the City of Livonia. Portions of this Contract may be deleted due to unforeseen circumstances without compensation. Acceptance of any bid does not constitute a binding agreement until a written Contract is signed by both parties. The successful bidder will be required to furnish satisfactory Performance, Labor and Material, and Maintenance and Guarantee Bonds. The City of Livonia reserves the right to reject or accept any or all proposals in whole or in part and waive any irregularities therein. Acceptance of any proposal does not constitute a binding agreement until a written Contract is signed by both parties. SCOPE OF WORK: Remove and properly dispose of the existing wooden bridge decking and hand railings. Furnish and install new pressure-treated wood decking and hand railings. Salvage all suitable topsoil spoils and stockpile or redistribute on-site as directed by the Golf Course Superintendent. Provide and place additional topsoil, as necessary, to achieve the desired green contours and finish grade. Repair or replace any drainage infrastructure disturbed during construction. Prepare all disturbed areas for sod installation, including final grading and soil preparation.
