Sealed Bids will be received by the City of Albany, Procurement Division, 222 Pine Avenue, Suite 260, Albany, Georgia 31701, for all work required for recovering the fire station roof as indicated in the scope of work in accordance with bid documents, specifications, and all other contract documents. Replies of substance will be answered in the form of an addendum and made available to all potential bidders. General Information: The City of Albany invites qualified contractors to submit formal bids for the Roof Recover Project at the Airport Fire Station, located at 3905 Newton Road. This project aims for a high-performance recover system with long-term durability and strict adherence to current building codes. The selected vendor will be responsible for preparing the existing metal substrate, installing EPS flute-fill insulation and cover board, and applying a fully adhered 60-mil TPO system. Bidders must provide a detailed, fixed-price quote that includes a 1-year workmanship warranty and a TPO Manufacturer's 20-Year Labor & Material Warranty. All work must be conducted with the highest standards of safety and minimal disruption to emergency services. Safety Protocols: o Fall Protection Standards: Vendors must strictly adhere to OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1926.501, utilizing guardrail systems, safety nets, or personal fall arrest systems (PFAS) for all work performed at heights of six feet or greater. o Fire Safety & Egress: Contractors must maintain at least one unobstructed exit at all times and ensure fire department access routes to hydrants and connections remain clear of construction debris. o Hazardous Materials: All demolished materials must be properly disposed of in accordance with environmental regulations, and any volatile adhesives used for TPO installation must have adequate ventilation.
