A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the proposed Westside Drainage Improvements as shown on the construction drawings. In general, construction includes installation of approximately 1,900 linear feet of storm piping of various sizes (18"-42"), 22 storm inlet boxes, headwalls, clearing and grubbing, construction of drainage swale, concrete driveway replacement, pavement replacement, utility adjustment, erosion control, and all associated measures for the complete project. The time allotted for completion is 120 consecutive calendar days to substantial completion, with all work to be complete and ready for contract close-out within 134 consecutive calendar days. All work shall be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications. The work will be awarded in one contract. Any contractor submitting a bid must be a licensed Utility Contractor by the State of Georgia, and license numbers must be written on the face of the bid envelope. Prequalification may be required of bidders prior to award, and at the Owner's request, bidders may be required to provide detailed written evidence of qualifications, including financial data, bonding capacity, and previous experience. All bid forms must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier's check in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance bond and payment bond, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in the federal E-Verify program. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise.
