Bids are requested for a single prime contract for water system improvements in the Village of Dresden. The project consists of replacing all asbestos cement water mains in the Village with approximately 18,785 linear feet of HDPE water mains. The work involves replacing the water main from the water storage tank on SR54 to the Village line and throughout the Village, including the addition of water main loops. New water mains will be a combination of 10-, 8-, and 6-inch HDPE, installed via directional drilling, open-trench, and two jack-and-bore railroad crossings. The project also includes all necessary appurtenances such as hydrants, valves, services, and restoration. Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises as well as Section 3 Firms are strongly encouraged to apply, with established participation goals of 10% for each MBE and WBE. The project is also subject to Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA), requiring that all iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used be produced in the United States, subject to applicable waivers.
