The work consists of constructing approximately 2,250-linear feet of breakwaters with 14,500-tons of rip-rap, light permanent warning signs, access dredging, and associated work near the existing breakwaters along the southern bank of Vermilion Parish in the Gulf of America near the Cheniere Au Tigre Ridge. The work shall be performed in accordance with the specifications and in conformity to lines, grades, and elevations shown in the plans or as directed by the Engineer. Only bids from contractors licensed under Louisiana Contractors Licensing Law will be considered for bids exceeding $50,000.00. Evidence of proper licensing under Heavy Construction must be submitted with the request for bidding documents. A bid guarantee equivalent to 5% of the base bid plus additive alternates, consisting of a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, must accompany each bid. The successful contractor will be required to execute a performance bond and a payment bond in the full amount of the contract. Contractors may obtain bidding documents from the designated engineer or through the specified online service. Bidders may not withdraw their bids for at least 45 days after bid opening. No pre-bid conference will be held. QA date - 3-4-2026 All questions shall be in writing and faxed or emailed to the Engineer after the Pre-Bid Conference and by the due date announced at the Pre-Bid conference. In order to ensure adequate response time, all questions and/or requests for clarification or interpretation of the Bid Documents should be received by the Engineer at least seven (7) days prior to the date for receipt of bids
