Remodeling of a mixed-use development in Bismarck, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the remodel of a industrial development; and detention facility.
The North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation is soliciting sealed bids from contractors interested in the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing portions of work associated with the removal and replacement of an industrial paint line at Roughrider Industries Building A of the North Dakota State Penitentiary in Bismarck, North Dakota. The work will include identified portions of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing as designated by the project drawings. Bidders must be licensed for the highest amount of their bid. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor’s license and full bid security, which must be in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid and in the form of a bidder’s bond, executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety. If the bid is accepted, the principal must execute a contract and a Contractor’s Bond within 10 days after Notice of Award. Contractor personnel must complete a background check approval process and comply with all applicable policies, procedures, and practices, including COVID-19 testing and PPE requirements. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to Engineer in writing. Replies will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids will not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Question Deadline 03/24/2026 The work covered by this Division consists in furnishing all labor, equipment, accessories and materials and in performing all operations necessary for the installation of the plumbing systems, in strict accordance with Division 22 of this Specification and applicable Drawings and subject to the terms and conditions of the Contract. Work of this Division is subject to requirements of Instructions to Bidders, General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, Division One, and all other sections of this Specification. C. Examine site and all Contract documents prior to submittal of bid. 1. Submittal of a Bid shall indicate the Contractor has examined the Site and Drawings and has included all required allowances in this Bid. No allowance shall be made for errors resulting from the Contractor's failure to visit job sites and to review Drawings. D. Division 22 Work: Includes, but is not limited to, providing the following: 1. Potable Water Distribution System: Fixtures, piping, equipment. 2. Waste and Vent Systems: Piping and specialties. 3. Compressed Air Systems: Low pressure (below 150 psi) air piping.
