Bucks County Community College invites the submission of sealed bids for the Receiving Mailroom Renovation Project at 275 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Question Deadline 03/12/2026 at 4:00 PM ET Questions Due Date Online Portal Project Award: April 10, 2026 Each bidder must provide a ten percent (10%) Surety Bid Bond, subject to the General Stipulations' conditions. An Electronic Surety Bid Bond may be uploaded from an authorized agency recognized and allowed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and submitted with your response online, or a hand-delivered check to the College by Submission date and time will be allowed. The bidder shall be required to comply in all respects with the provisions of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act and Chapter 49, Title 16, of the Pennsylvania Code and any other regulations promulgated hereunder. Before submitting a bid, the bidder shall be cognizant of all laws, ordinances, insurance, bonds, regulations, prevailing wage rates, and underwriter approval and shall include a sum to cover the cost of all items included in the specification and pertinent documents. PA State Prevailing wages are in effect for this project. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Boiler House Renovations Approximately 450 SF of office space inside a boiler house, occupancy type U, construction type IIIB. Project includes removing existing office wall assemblies down to wood studs, insulating the offices with spray insulation, and installing new exterior system on office walls. Offices will receive new finishes, sealed floors, ceilings, furniture assembly, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. 2. Receiving Mail Room Renovations Approximately 400 SF of a mail receiving room inside a stone masonry barn, occupancy type B, construction type IIIB. Project includes demolishing existing finishes, interior walls, concrete slab, and asphalt ramp outside exterior door. Stone exterior walls to remain. Earth will be excavated within the building footprint to pour a new slab lower than demolished. New construction also includes walls, doors, ceilings, finishes, awning, furniture assembly, and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work shall be conducted in a single phase with the following limitations: 1. Notice to Proceed issued 13 April 2026. 2. Work in all areas shall be substantially complete and ready for occupancy by 24 July 2026. 3. Final Completion date shall be 14 August 2026.
