Site work for a water / sewer project in Wilber, Nebraska. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Furnishing all equipment, labor, materials, and appurtenances required to construct two (2) public water supply wells. This includes drilling bore hole, furnishing and installing well casing and screen, select gravel pack and seals, plumbness and alignment tests, yield test, water quality sampling and testing, and variable frequency drive for each well; pitless unit, submersible pump and motor, drop pipe and wire, fittings, fire hydrant, valve(s); discharge head, column piping, vertical turbine pump and motor, concrete pedestal, combined discharge piping and other such work as may be incidental to public water supply wells and discharge piping. Envelopes containing bids shall be sealed and must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond made payable, without condition, to the City Clerk, Wilber, Nebraska, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the bid as security that the bidder whom the award is made will enter into contract to complete the work bid upon and furnish the required bonds and insurance. Envelopes containing bids shall be marked with the project name, date, and time of bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids; and to waive irregularities or informalities to accept the bid it deems most beneficial. Bids received after the specified time of closing will be returned unopened. The Owner will accept only those sealed bids, either hand delivered or received via U.S. Mail or other commercial carrier. Items transmitted by facsimile or electronically will not be accepted. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty (60) days after the date fixed for the bid opening. All work and materials are to be guaranteed for a period of one (1) year following the final acceptance by the Engineer. Each successful bidder shall supply a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond executed by a Corporate Surety licensed in the State of Nebraska, each in an amount equal to 100 percent of the contract price. Partial payments will be made monthly, less the appropriate retainage, for the work done and materials supplied.
