The work is located at various locations in Hainesville, Lake County, IL. The work for which proposals are requested will generally consist of, but shall not be limited to, the following: HMA surface removal and replacement, driveway removal and replacement, curb & gutter removal and replacement, sidewalk removal and replacement, sidewalk improvements for ADA compliance, site restoration, and other associated improvements. The successful bidder is required to pay the general prevailing wage for work under this Contract as ascertained by the Illinois Department of Labor and shall submit certified payroll records in compliance with the Prevailing Wage Act (820 ILCS 130) and the requirements of the Bidding Documents. Bid security in the form of a Bid Bond, Bank Cashier's Check, or Certified Check in the amount of ten (10) percent of the total bid amount, made payable to the Avon Township Highway Department shall accompany the bid. The Village of Hainesville reserves the right to accept or reject any bid, to award all or part of a contract, and to make such awards as are in the best interests of the Village. Factors other than price which will be considered in awarding or rejecting bids shall include the results of reference contacts and the quality of the bidder's performance on prior Village projects, if any, in the judgment of the Village Board and Village staff. All proposals submitted shall be valid for a period of 60 days. Final completion is defined as restoration and punch list items addressed. Liquidated damages will start June 6, 2026. Per IDOT Specification 108.09, liquidated damages will be charged for every day past the final completion date.
