MEI Project No. 25065 Westside Community Schools Loveland Elementary is executing a partial modernization, and construction of a new 56,493 GSF academic facility on the existing site at 82nd and Pacific Street. The existing school building will be demolished, with the exception of the original 1932 schoolhouse, which will be preserved and rehabilitated as part of the project. MCL Construction is requesting bids for the following scopes of work: Cast in Place Concrete, Steel & Precast Erection, Countertops, Roofing, Tile, Signage & Window Coverings, Food Service Equipment, Reinforcing Supply, Grouting, Firestopping, Doors, Frames & Hardware Supply, Gyp. Board Assemblies & Ceilings, MEPF Trades, Lockers, Masonry, Rough/Finish Carpentry, Interior/Exterior Joint Sealants, Glass & Glazing, Painting, Site Utilities, Elevators/Lifts, Structural Steel Supply, Architectural Casework Supply, Thermal/Moisture Protection, Flooring, Specialties & Accessories, Landscaping, Pavement Striping. All bidders will be required to provide dual obligee payment & performance bonds listing MCL and Westside Community School District as obligees. No bidder shall withdraw his bid within 30 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Bids will be evaluated based on the lowest responsible bidder which shall mean financial responsibility, the general ability and capacity of the bidder to perform the work, the bidder's facilities and suitability for the task, and those qualities which the bidder must necessarily have in order to perform the contract strictly in accordance with its terms. Time is of the essence for this project and bids will not be considered if the contractor cannot meet the construction schedule as provided.
