Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment required to construct Storm Sewer & Paving - Section I for Sanitary and Improvement District 646, Douglas County, Nebraska. The work consists essentially of subgrade preparation, constructing storm sewers of various sizes, constructing curb and area inlets, manholes, installing pipe couplers, adjusting manholes to grade, constructing concrete ring retainers and pavement, installing external frame seals, constructing medians, aggregate surface courses, PCC speed humps, rip rap, concrete headers, end of road markers, street name signs, sign posts, jetting existing sanitary sewer, installing temporary traffic control, and sediment basin maintenance (by others), with estimated quantities provided for each item. All proposals must be submitted on bid forms furnished by E & A Consulting Group, Inc., accompanied by a bid bond or certified check of not less than $141,000, as security. Bid security must be in a separate sealed envelope attached to the proposal. No bidder may withdraw a proposal for sixty days after the bid opening. All proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope and properly addressed and marked. The successful bidder must enter into a contract and provide a contract and maintenance bond for 100% of the contract price. The work will be awarded to the lowest acceptable bidder in accordance with the requirements of the plans and specifications. Plans, specifications, and contract documents may be obtained at the office of E & A Consulting Group, Inc., for a fee. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
