As of April 6, 2026, information regarding a selected design firm or timeline for construction has not been made available. *Previous solicitation listed below for reference:* Design services are being solicited for the demolition of existing Lake Street yard tracks, carhouse, catenary, and Boston College Station, followed by the construction of a new Traction Power Substation building within the yard and reconstruction of the Boston College station. A new Eversource switchgear is also to be installed within the yard. The contract duration is five years from notice to proceed, with two option periods of one year each. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Request for Proposal for design services is underway. Project Briefing has been rescheduled to Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 2:00 pm. The Project Briefing Meeting Information section has been updated on BidExpress.
