GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS: Potential bidders to the solicitation are expected to review all materials contained herein and prepare responses accordingly. Submit required documents, complete information with solicitation including pricing and related terms. The Striping / Pavement Markings contract will be for various road construction, overlays, and rehabilitative projects. The work will include, but not be limited to, temporary striping of newly constructed or overlaid roads, permanent painted striping of newly constructed or overlaid roads, thermoplastic striping of newly constructed or overlaid roads, refurbishment of existing thermoplastic traffic markings and striping, replacement of painted and thermoplastic traffic markings and striping, green bike lane pavement markings and symbols, and placement or replacement of retro-reflective pavement markers. Provide all materials, equipment, labor, MOT, supervision, and transportation necessary to provide these services. Contractor shall demonstrate expertise in the following areas: Installation of striping/pavement markings in accordance with Wellington, Palm Beach County, and FDOT standards, plans and specifications. Contractor must be capable of furnishing and installing Green Bike Lane Pavement Markings and associated symbols in accordance with FDOT specifications and standards. This includes: Green colored pavement markings for designated bike lanes; Helmeted Bicyclist Symbol (Standard FDOT/MUTCD compliant); Bike Lane Symbol (Standard FDOT/MUTCD compliant); All materials must meet FDOT standards for durability, reflectivity, skid resistance, and color retention; Installation methods must comply with FDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction; Specific locations, dimensions, and quantities will be provided by Wellington Engineering Department on a project-by-project basis. Wellington reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids/Proposals (in whole or in part) with or without cause, to waive any technicalities, irregularities or formalities, or to accept the bids/proposals which in its judgment best service Wellington.
