Sealed bids are invited for "Sewage Treatment Plant Improvements: Contract No. 1-Screw Pump Replacement" in the Incorporated Village of Greenport. All bidders must submit a certified check of at least five percent of the base bid or a bid bond from a bonding company licensed in New York. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to waive informalities or reject any or all bids. Bidders are required to comply with prevailing wage requirements, including both State and Federal wage rates, with the higher rate prevailing. Only those with sufficient relevant experience, financial stability, and an organized operation will be considered. All bids must be submitted on prescribed forms, with all spaces filled in, and proposals containing irregularities may be rejected. Bidders must visit and inspect the work site prior to submitting a proposal and are responsible for timely bid submission. All requests for clarification must be made in writing to the Owner's Consulting Engineer. Bids may be partially funded by New York State Financial Assistance programs, and all bidders must comply with related requirements and terms.
