Renovation of a fire / police facility in Riverhead, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
Sealed bids are requested for the replacement of three packaged rooftop HVAC units and related equipment at Fire Headquarters of the Riverhead Fire District. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidder and must be on forms provided by the Riverhead Fire District, in accordance with the specifications and instructions to bidders. A full performance bond and payment bond are required from the successful bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or bank check equal to at least five percent of the base bid. Proof of registration with the NYS Department of Labor is mandatory, and a certificate must be included with the bid. Special qualification requirements are specified in the contract documents. Bids will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, though the Board reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive immaterial informalities. The Fire District requires proof of sufficient experience and financial capability to complete the specified work within the required timeframe. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled onsite.
